London Veterinary Services are seeking a board-certified or Advanced practitioner In Small Animal Veterinary Surgery to join the team.
This position offers a unique chance to work as a peripatetic surgeon with an established clientele of 10’years. The position would cover 30 clinics around London, Kent, Surrey and Hertfordshire. Current case load for this position is in the region of 400 cases per year with an orthopaedic bias. You will have flexible working hours with the ability to dictate your working day and workload. You have clinical freedom to do what you feel is best for your patients and clients. I am very experienced in this field and am happy to guide in the day to day logistics and workflow and also support clinically if needed.
The salary is high level case based remuneration for the postgraduate/specialist professional qualifications in this field of work, further details on application.
Required personal attributes
Be a recognised specialist or advanced practitioner in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
Have strong communication skills and professional approach.
Work well under time pressure and be able to plan a day on the road
Always be courteous to clients and staff when representing the brand
Be adaptable working in different clinical settings. Our clients range from hospitals to single vet practices.
Surgical equipment provided
- Locking kits with LCP plates including 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.4mm, 2.7mm and 3.5mm.
- 1mm kit
- Two dedicated Tplo kits including saw/drill/instruments and full set of synthes blades.
- Spare third Tplo saw
- Multiple dedicated Tplo screw/plate kits
- Two patella luxation kits
- Fracture reduction kits.
- Bbraun power units including wire driver, Ao, saw and chuck.
- Arthrex v300 power unit and attachments.
- Storz telepack arthroscopy available with 1.9 and 2.4mm scopes.
- Pgr, Paul, Leap and fusion kits available.
- Autoclave (two of needed) to allow sterilisation at home.

We are a growing, small animal orthopaedic and spinal surgery specialist referral practice established in 2024, based in Poole.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time or part time orthopaedic surgeon to join our busy independent practice. The applicant will work with two very experienced RCVS Diplomates (one of whom also holds ECVN and ECVSMR diplomas) and should hold an RCVS or ECVS Diploma or should have completed an ECVS residency.
We have state-of-the-art premises and an amazing team of friendly support staff. Imaging equipment includes a GE CT scanner, Fujifilm FDR Smart X digital radiography and Stryker arthroscopy. Other equipment includes Biomedtrix THR, I-Loc interlocking nails and the Invetra pedicle screw fixation system.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and will be enthusiastic and motivated to provide the highest standards of orthopaedic care for their patients. We offer excellent working conditions including a generous remuneration package tailored to the level of qualifications and experience and the number of days worked per week.
The practice is located on the south coast with easy access to nearby beaches and the New Forest national park. Nearby airports include Southampton and Bournemouth and there are good transport links by road and rail to London.
